The social care crisis
What a mess! The only way forward is to get people discharged from hospital and back home as soon as possible. It is a simple as that!
But…
There are just not enough carers to support them! So many have left the profession as a result of Covid. Everyone understands why but now it’s time for carers to return and put your your valuable skills to their best use. You can play a big part in alleviating the bed blocking and ambulance crisis in the NHS. It’s a chain that must be broken as quickly as possible.
Vulnerable people are now dying because of this dreadful situation. There have been some very distressing reports on the television of avoidable deaths due to ambulance delays. A huge number of elderly people are waiting in corridors for hours, if not days, which is simply unacceptable. One of our clients was stuck in A&E for over 24 hours!

Please help us make a difference
As Domiciliary Care Providers, the solution lies with agencies like ours. The private sector can play its part and can pay more than the public sector. It is heart breaking when we get calls for help to have to turn clients who desperately need support, away. Not only can you make a difference to somebody else’s life, you can also be part of now making a difference to the whole of the NHS.
I implore anyone who has the training, experience and that special disposition, to re-join the home care sector.
