In February we launched our ‘Charity of the Month’ and Alzheimer’s North West is the first to benefit.
Due to people liking, commenting and sharing our Facebook page we are so pleased to announce that we reached our target and have sent our donation of £100.
Currently, we are raising funds for Tarporley War Memorial Hospital which has served our local community for nearly 100 years. They provide a much-needed facility for respite and rehabilitation along with an array of clinics ranging from Minor Surgery, Outpatients Physiotherapy and extended GP services. Most importantly, they provide 16 inpatient beds for hospital referrals and Palliative care.

Funding
Tarporley Hospital has to raise 70% of their funds and have a marvellous team of volunteers and fundraisers. They play such a vital part in our local community; rehabilitating elderly people so they can return home as soon as possible, taking a huge burden off the NHS. Surely our local hospitals are the answer to the bed blocking problems in the general hospitals and I cannot believe this is not more cost effective. Is it not time the Government used a bit of logic?
Let us give you a helping hand
Not everybody has someone to look after them when they are ready to return home. After a long period of illness or disability, it can be very frightening to leave the security of wonderful people who look after your every need with kindness and sensitivity. We will liaise with them whenever we can to ensure that you do not feel abandoned. Maybe you just need someone to pop in on a daily basis, help with some housework or shopping or maybe you need a Carer to live in for a short while whilst you adjust to being back at home.
