Spring is just around the corner!

Having written about the serious situation in social care last month, I want to say something on a brighter note. As the days start to get longer, and the spring flowers start to show their heads, there is a relief and a moment of joy.

At my parent’s house in Bunbury, there is a large oak tree which is currently surrounded by yellow aconites mixed with snowdrops. The bluebells and daffodils are also starting to peak through. My father planted this beautiful arboretum many years ago which changes with the seasons, worth many a photo throughout the year.

I walk round it every day and it brings a cheer to my heart. New growth, maybe new beginnings, and a lifted spirit to carry on in such difficult times.

So…

As said in one of the songs from Fred Astaire’s classic film in 1936, ‘Swing Time’:

“Nothing’s impossible I have found
For when my chin is on the ground
I pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again”

This is my message to all those wonderful people who used to look after vulnerable people in the community. You are greatly missed, extremely valued, and urgently needed. Working with Bunbury Care Agency can give you give you a better work life balance plus a better income.

I always say, making a difference to somebody else’s life may be hard work but it is rewarding and everybody needs somebody and we need you.
