Bunbury Care Agency
- Job Ref: A637N
- Location: Farndon, Cheshire
- Job Type: Live-in; rota-based
- Wages: £660 per week plus 45p per mile travel allowance
We are looking for a live-in carer who can help assist in the care of a an elderly lady with bowel cancer. Personal care is required and although the client has a colostomy bag this is managed independently. The ideal candidate must be competent in moving and handling as the client suffers from peripheral diseases, and therefore has decreased mobility and spends a large amount of time in bed.
The client has 5 dogs in the house that she likes to sleep with. There are also two parrots which get let out of the house each day. The dogs can be quite mischievous so it is important that the carer is confident and comfortable around the animals. The client’s daughter is a palliative nurse as is currently residing with her mother. No driver is required although it is important for the carer to have their own means of transport. At present there are no issues at night time although the client may get up sometimes for a hot chocolate.
