Respite home care
Respite care is there to provide relief to the many carers who look after their loved ones themselves. Caring for a spouse, parent or other family member is a challenging role, both physically and mentally. We can be there to provide respite care to allow you to take some important time for yourself.
Respite care is a lifeline for the many selfless people who care for someone on a regular or full-time basis. It’s not always possible to be there for someone else 24/7 and it’s important that carers have some time for themselves. We provide respite care for many families that need to take a break, go on holiday, or are temporarily unable to care due to an injury or treatment.
Our respite carers can provide relief for a few hours, days, weeks or months – day or night. We will provide the care that you ordinarily provide and that all important companionship and interaction. Our carers can help with personal care, housekeeping, cooking, shopping – we will keep routines and normality in place.
We understand that accepting help is difficult for everyone involved and we and our carers will always be sensitive, understanding and respectful. You can trust us to provide support exactly when you need it and know that your loved one is being cared for properly.
All our carers are carefully selected and trained, with experience in a wide range of conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, MS, Parkinson’s and looking after those who have been in hospital after a fall or stroke.
