Have you been offered the vaccine yet?

At the time of writing this the Government’s plan was to have vaccinated over 15 million people which included almost everyone over the age of 70. This is a remarkable achievement, and we are all incredibly grateful to everyone in the NHS and volunteers who have played a part in making this happen so quickly.

The next stage is my generation: 60+. No targets have been set yet, but it will be a great relief if this were to happen sometime in March by the time the clocks change so we can all dance around the garden like the hippies we used to be! Fingers crossed again.  If my information is correct, over 40% of the adult population, as well as those who care for the elderly, will have had the first vaccination to protect them against this terrible virus.

Keep looking forward to a brighter future!

Whilst the vaccine continues to ‘rock and roll out’ and our children and grandchildren slowly return to school, the bulbs are definitely beginning to show their heads and buds are forming on the trees, despite the freezing weather. Spring is just around the corner and the days are getting longer. Not even Covid-19 can stop that. So hopefully the easing of ‘Lockdown’ will also come soon and we will be able to see our family and friends again in the not too distant future.

We are still here to help

If you are struggling to manage through this long period of ‘lockdown’, we have local carers who have been working through this pandemic and are tested regularly.

They wear full PPE and follow rigorous hygiene procedures and are available to help you. Whether it is just companionship, housekeeping assistance or personal care.

Please do not suffer on your own. Where there is a will there is a way and we are particularly good at finding that way of supporting the vulnerable people in our community.

Please do not hesitate to contact us on 01829 260280 for more information.

Please take care and stay safe.
