At the time of writing this the Government’s plan was to have vaccinated over 15 million people which included almost everyone over the age of 70. This is a remarkable achievement, and we are all incredibly grateful to everyone in the NHS and volunteers who have played a part in making this happen so quickly.
The next stage is my generation: 60+. No targets have been set yet, but it will be a great relief if this were to happen sometime in March by the time the clocks change so we can all dance around the garden like the hippies we used to be! Fingers crossed again. If my information is correct, over 40% of the adult population, as well as those who care for the elderly, will have had the first vaccination to protect them against this terrible virus.
Keep looking forward to a brighter future!
Whilst the vaccine continues to ‘rock and roll out’ and our children and grandchildren slowly return to school, the bulbs are definitely beginning to show their heads and buds are forming on the trees, despite the freezing weather. Spring is just around the corner and the days are getting longer. Not even Covid-19 can stop that. So hopefully the easing of ‘Lockdown’ will also come soon and we will be able to see our family and friends again in the not too distant future.
We are still here to help
