| • |
There
are no specific qualifications for a Maternity Nurse but usually they
have childcare, nursing or midwifery qualifications along with considerable
experience in the care of newborn babies |
| • |
Their
role is to attend to the baby during the first few weeks after birth whilst
providing invaluable advice for the parents and also allowing the mother
to recover from the birth |
| • |
A
Daily or Nights only Maternity Nurse may not always want to live in or
out but will only work 6 days or night sper week |
| • |
A
live in Maternity Nurse will also require a day off per week |
| • |
Maternity
Nurses are usually self employed and will make their own arrangements
for Tax and NI |
