LATEST NEWS... The Bunbury Agency has moved!
Founded 42 years ago by my mother, Leila Potter, the Agency was based at her home in Bunbury, hence the name. Seven years ago due to a shortage of desk space in her study, we moved to Cholmondeley Castle’s Business Park. Now, we have some big plans for the future, which we want to develop over the next few years, and are very excited to be moving to larger premises in the High Street in Tarporley, Cheshire.
With the knowledge and expertise we have gathered over the years, we want to extend our unique and personal services to all aspects of Domiciliary Care, beyond the private sector which is of course our speciality. We intend to become more involved with Local Authorities, Direct Payments and Social Services. We are very involved locally; fighting for better care for the elderly, especially with those who suffer from dementia and Leila was recently nominated for ‘Cheshire Woman of the Year’ for her work in campaigning for Alzheimer sufferers.
As with care for the elderly, we are also very committed to raising the standards of recruitment for childcare in the home, and actively work with our fellow members of the Association of Nanny Agencies and the British Au Pair Agencies Association campaigning for better regulation and higher standards. Our new Au Pair programme is proving very popular. Taking an Au Pair into your home on a cultural exchange is very cost effective and can make all the difference if you are juggling work commitments and the school runs!
The Companion Housekeeper ‘Rosy Rota’ is a less expensive way to provide care and companionship for elderly relatives who are still able bodied, but need some help around the house and a bit of companionship.
Finally, although we provide our services nationwide, we are keen to recruit more local staff especially Daily Carers and domestics, which are in great demand.

Our ‘ROSY ROTA’ service has always been unique and very personal, providing Carers for vulnerable adults on a continual rota basis.
This new ‘Rosy Rota’ Companion Housekeepers service is for elderly people who do not require any personal care, just some help and companionship in the home.
There are many elderly and lonely people who are quite able to look after themselves, who would like the benefit of a Companion Housekeeper, but do not want the responsibility and cost of employing their own staff.
The beauty of this service is that it is less expensive than employing a Residential Carer, but should your situation change then a Carer can be provided with no disruption to your rota.
Our dedicated team look after you for a rota bais to look after you on a rota basis.

Over the past 42 years we have been providing families with Nannies, Mother’s Helps and Maternity Nurses, and we are delighted that we are now able to also provide Au Pairs.
An Au Pair can be a single male or female between the age of 17 and 27, who wants to live with a family in the UK in order to improve their English, for up to a maximum of two years. They are not qualified child carers but may have experience in looking after siblings or baby sitting for family friends. Whilst living in your home they are expected to help look after your children and do some light domestic work.
They may work from 25 - 35 hours per week for which they receive pocket money ranging from £65 - £115 depending on the area. They should be treated as a member of your family and encouraged to participate in the family’s routine and activities. They also need to be given some free time to attend a local college to improve their English.
Our Au Pairs are sourced either through private advertising specifically on your behalf or through International Agencies. Each Au Pair is thoroughly vetted, including obtaining details of family history and all references verbally checked before we introduce them to a Host Family.
We make every effort to ensure we match the most suitable Au Pair to the right Host Family. All our procedures meet the regulations and requirements of the Home Office. We are currently awaiting the approval of our application to become members of the British Au Pair Agencies Association (BAPAA).
