Many vulnerable people are being denied care

Many vulnerable people are being denied care
June 24, 2014 Sarah Green

A recent report highlighted that the number of older people needing care will outstrip the number of family members able to provide it by 2017. By 2030 there could be more than 2 million people needing care or assistance with no family nearby to help.

Everybody knows that the ever increasing ageing population is a serious worry and that there will never be enough public funds to help everyone. Just recently horrific details about abuse of the elderly have been in the media, emphasising that even some of those in care are at significant risk. The government wants as we all do, for more people to stay at home but again it is all a question of cost.

Did you know?

  • If you qualify for a Direct Payment or Personal Budget you can use this to buy your own private care and support giving you independence, choice and control.
  • The hourly amount you receive will cover the hourly cost of one of our private daily carers.
  • As a private and independent care agency with over 45 years of experience we know it takes a special kind of person to be a carer. We only recruit carers who have the right sensitivity and really understand what is involved in looking after a vulnerable person.
  • That’s why our carers are special. We all believe passionately that with the right care and support, people can remain living in their own home for as long as possible.
  • Will your carer be properly recruited?
  • Will your dignity be respected?
  • Will they be trustworthy?

The answer is yes, as we make sure that the service our carers provide is tailored completely to the way you like to live and that everything runs smoothly.
