Care at home

We know that with the right care and support, most people who would have had to move into a care home can remain living in their own homes, even when life has become challenging.

Elderly home care agencyWe provide one of the most considerate, convenient and flexible home care support services for the elderly or infirm, who wish, as we all do, to continue living as independently as possible. Whatever your requirements are, be that live-in (residential), daily or respite; full time or just a few hours a week, we can provide home care that is tailored to your needs and can be adapted at any time.

Our dedicated team of home carers have a wide range of experience; from assisted living and companion housekeepers to high-level personal care, and can look after loved ones suffering from a wide range of debilitating or distressing illnesses and conditions.

Where appropriate, we can provide carers with specific knowledge in specialist fields such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, dementia, multiple sclerosis (MS), depression, cancer, osteoporosis and other challenging conditions.

Our rota-based home care services

Our ‘Rosy Rota’ elderly care service has operated very successfully for many years.  We think it is special and unique. We will provide you with a carefully chosen rota of experienced elderly carers who understand your specific needs and will work with you and the family to provide the exact support that you need.

Our live-in elderly care service

Your live-in carer will provide 24 hour support and be there for you at any time of the day and live with you in your home. Live-in care is an alternative to a care home, and enables you to remain at home, surrounded by your possessions, and within your community, and also lets you maintain your lifestyle, whether that’s enjoying your garden, keeping your pets, and also keeping your own schedule.  Your carer is there to enable you to live the way you want to live and can help with any personal needs, provide companionship, take you on outings or to appointments, and cook your favourite meals.

We take great care in matching the right carers with our clients, with the client’s wishes and needs at the centre of everything that we do.

Our daily elderly care service

Your daily carer is not just there to help you with any personal needs that you may have, but also can be a companion. You may need help with your housekeeping, shopping or want someone to prepare freshly cooked food on a daily basis. If you have appointments or social engagements, your carer will be happy to accompany you should you require their help.

We understand that you may not need 24 hour home care, which is why we can provide you with your own private daily carer for any length of time from 1 hour, at the times and days that you need them. The carer works directly for you enabling you and your family to have control on the level of care that you receive.

Our respite or temporary elderly care services

As more and more people are living longer, many of us find that we are looking after elderly parents, a relative or a friend as well as looking after our own families. Relief for carers and family members is very important, not only so you have the time to manage your own life, but also so you can take a much needed rest or holiday.

We are sponsors of our local hospital which specialises in respite care for the elderly. If you are recovering from an illness or an operation you will want to return to your own home as soon as possible. Our Bunbury Carers are there for you and have the flexibility to provide the much needed convalescence and rehabilitation support on a daily or residential basis.

Respite & temporary elderly home care

Your safety and peace of mind are paramount

All our Bunbury Carers are thoroughly checked in line with the UKHCA Code of Practice and have current DBS certification. They have the experience, knowledge and qualifications to look after vulnerable adults, maintaining the dignity and respect of the client.

Depending on the carer’s abilities and qualifications, they can provide various levels of personal care, administer medication and assist with moving and handling. They will assist with housekeeping, prepare and maintain a well balanced diet and provide companionship and support to meet all of your requirements.

When recruiting we perform a thorough procedure of checks and the carers must provide:

  • Full details of their work experience or CV.
  • Copies of all their qualifications.
  • At least two references from recent employers.
  • Two forms of identification.
  • A Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure (Police Check).

All references are meticulously checked and verified by us over the telephone with previous Employers. This allows us to ask further questions and gain more in-depth knowledge of the carer. The carer is then interviewed by us to ensure they are suitable for our clients.
