At the Bunbury Agency, we pride ourselves on the very personal service we offer our Employers. One of our very experienced personnel undertakes the responsibility of finding the most suitable Staff for Employers.
‘rosy rota’ carers
A carer is someone who has experience, knowledge and qualifications to look after vulnerable adults, maintaining the dignity and respect of the client. They will be required to provide various levels of personal care; administer medication and assist with moving and handling depending on their abilities. They will also be expected to assist with housekeeping and provide companionship and support to meet the requirements of the client.
‘rosy rota’ companion housekeepers
A companion housekeeper is similar to a carer but is not allowed to provide any personal care; administer any medication or perform any moving and handling. They are employed purely as a companion and a housekeeper. They may be expected to take on all the domestic duties.
‘Rosy Rota’s’ bookings usually rotate on a weekly or fortnightly basis and the carers are employed on a self employed basis.
nannies
A Nanny is trained and qualified specifically to look after young children in every aspect from organising their activities in a stimulating way; preparing healthy balanced meals to looking after their clothes and advancing their development.
A Nanny is often required to have sole charge if parents are at work. A full time Nanny is expected to work a 5 day week, although live-in Nannies often work longer hours. Daily Nannies should not be expected to work longer than 10 hours per day.
mother’s helps
A Mother’s Help does not necessarily have a specific qualification but has considerable experience in looking after children. They usually work alongside the Mother and assist more in general household duties. A Mother's Help is not always qualified to have sole charge of a child. A full time Mother's Help should not be expected to work more than 45 hours per week.
maternity nurses
A Maternity Nurse usually has specific training or childcare, nursing and midwifery qualifications along with considerable experience in the care of newborn babies. Their role is to attend to the baby during the first few weeks after birth, whilst providing invaluable advice for the parents and also allowing the Mother to recover from the birth. A daily or nights only Maternity Nurse may not always want to live in but will only work 6 days or nights per week. A live in Maternity Nurse will also require a day off per week. Maternity Nurses are usually self employed and will make their own arrangements for Tax and National Insurance.
au pairs
An Au Pair is a single Male/Female aged between 17 - 27, who comes to live with a UK family in order to improve his/her English, and experience life in another Country, for a maximum of 2 years. Placing an Au Pair is not a contract of work. An Au Pair will expect to be treated as a member of the family. An Au Pair is only expected to assist the Host Family in the care of their children and some light domestic duties in return for which they are paid pocket money.
housekeepers and housekeeper couples
A Housekeeper or Housekeeper Couple are usually expected to provide a range of services from general housekeeping and domestic work to gardening, handyman and caretaking duties. Residential staff are usually provided with their own private accommodation rent free.
