Our ‘Rosy Rota’ Companion Housekeepers Service

There are many elderly and lonely people who are quite able to look after themselves whose quality of life could be improved with the help of a Companion and Housekeeper.
If you wish to remain as independent as you can, and do not want the responsibility and cost of employing your own staff, this is an ideal way of having help in the house from someone who has the knowledge and experience of looking after elderly people.
A Companion Housekeeper is similar to a Carer but is not allowed to provide any personal care, administer any medication or perform any moving and handling.
Our Companion Housekeeper rota operates in a similar way as the Carers Rota.
- Full details are taken of yourself, your requirements and the type of home assistance you require. This enables us to create an accurate profile so that we can find the most suitable Companion for your requirements.
- A Housekeeping Plan will then be prepared detailing your specific requirements.
- We then select 2 – 3 suitable and very capable Companions for you.
- Staff are usually booked 6 – 8 weeks in advance.
- Companions are provided with your specific Housekeeping Plan in advance of the engagement.
- A personal diary is then sent to you and your representative listing the names, dates and contact numbers of the Companions which have been engaged on your behalf.
- Your diary is updated every month and sent with your invoice.
- Ideally Companions like to work 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off but they can be booked for longer periods up to a month at a time.
- You will have 2 – 3 Companions who then rotate on a regular basis.
- Each Companion will hand over to the next Companion thoroughly; ensuring up to date information has been properly communicated. There is no need for anyone to be there to supervise.
- We continually keep up to date with any changes in circumstances and reassess needs accordingly.
- Your details are only divulged to your Companions as required and your personal file is safely and confidentially stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- We are here to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible and there is a dedicated telephone number for emergencies at weekends.
