The Bunbury Care Agency is a member of The Association of Nanny Agencies (ANA) and all our Nannies, Mother’s Helps and Maternity Nurses are recruited in line with their Codes of Practice.

Our Experience


The Bunbury Agency has been providing childcare in the home since 1968 when our founder could not find that ‘Special Person’ to look after her own three children, one of whom is now the Director!

As a family business we know only too well the difficulties of finding the right type of childcare for our children. Life can be a continuous juggling act between work commitments and family priorities.

Finding the right type of childcare at the right price is a huge problem for so many families these days. Many of us are balancing the desire to provide a loving stable environment for our children along with financial commitments and career ambitions. Some parents, of course, prefer to stay at home but need additional help and support.

Times have changed quite a bit since The Bunbury Agency was founded in 1968. In the past, Nannies were often seen as a luxury; they were mainly residential and were considered part of the family.

Today, much more flexibility is required. Daily or shared Nannies and Mother’s Helps are very much in demand on a full time and part time basis or just for after school care.

Although there are plenty of excellent nurseries today, trends are returning to the more traditional idea of having a professional Nanny or a Mother’s Help in the home.

The costs can be negligible and there is of course a huge value in a child growing up in its own home, let alone the convenience to the whole family.

If you would like somebody to look after your children, we will find that ‘Special Person’ who suits all your requirements.

Please do not hesitate to call us if you need any of the following services:

  • Nannies – Have specific qualifications in childcare such as an NNEB, CACHE or GNVQ
  • Mother’s Helps – Do not necessarily have specific childcare qualifications but may have considerable experience in looking after children and are happy to help with the housekeeping
  • Maternity Nurses – Have training in childcare, and have maternity or midwifery qualifications and considerable experience in the care of newborn babies

Trish has been the most wonderful Carer for Mum and she was all that I ever wanted from someone for Mum plus a lot more. We were so blessed that she came into our lives! Every day Mum looked forward to her coming and felt so safe and secure when she was around.
