Bunbury Care Agency – a UK care provider specialising in au pair recruitment, along with sourcing UK au pair jobs for European nationals
au pairs
The Bunbury Care Agency are members of the British Au Pair Agencies Association (BAPAA) and the Association of Nanny Agencies (ANA) and abide by their recommended code of conduct in the recruitment of Au Pairs, Nannies, Mother's Helps and Maternity Nurses and all our procedures meet the regulations and requirements of the Home Office. We can provide Au Pair hire to families throughout the country, and our UK au pair jobs attract dedicated and hard-working au pairs from across Europe.
As a family business we know only too well the difficulties of finding the right type of childcare for our children. Life can be a continuous juggling act between work commitments and family priorities. We will assist you in balancing your work and family life with our Au Pair hire service, helping you recruit a European Au Pair.
Many of us are balancing the desire to provide a loving stable environment for our children along with financial commitments and career ambitions. Some parents, of course, prefer to stay at home but need additional help and support.
Over the past 40 years we have been providing families with Nannies, Mother’s Helps and Maternity Nurses, and we are delighted that we are now able to also provide Au Pairs for hire.
The words Au Pair come from the French, meaning "at par", or "equal to". Your Au Pair is not a domestic servant or Housekeeper.
As the Host Family you are inviting a foreign person into your home and you are expected to treat your Au Pair like a member of the family or the daughter of a family friend.
The Host Family should provide the Au Pair with all their food, pocket money appropriate to the number of hours they work and an opportunity to improve their knowledge of the English language, preferably through a local college.
An Au Pair can be a single male or female between the age of 17 and 27, who wants to live with a family in the UK in order to improve their English, for up to a maximum of two years. You can expect your Au Pair to work for a minimum of 25 hours and up to a maximum of 35 hours per week over a 5 day period for which they receive an agreed amount of pocket money.
Please note Au Pairs are not qualified child carers but may have experience in looking after siblings or baby sitting for family friends.
Our Au Pairs are recruited either through private advertising specifically on your behalf or through International Agencies who are registered with the International Au Pair Agency (IAPA). Our au pair recruitment process is stringent, and we thoroughly vet every applicant for our UK au pair jobs.
As it is not possible for the Agency to interview the Au Pair in person, a thorough telephone interview will be conducted with the Au Pair and their family prior to them being introduced to the Host Family, and all references will be verbally verified.
The Agency will provide the Host Family with a summary of the Au Pair’s CV and assessment together with copies of all relevant documents.
