celebrating 40 years
All this year the Bunbury Agency has been celebrating 40 years of Caring and in June we held a special ‘Tea Party’ for some of clients and Carers.

My mother Leila Potter started the agency when she could not find that ’Special Person’ to look after her own three children. Twenty years later she needed to find a suitable companion to care for her mother.
The Agency no longer operates from my mother’s home in Bunbury hence the name, but is based at Cholmondeley Castle’s Business Park.
I joined the agency in 2005 having run various businesses of my own over the past twenty years. I too have three children and understand the demands made today upon modern women especially those of us who are working.
Together my mother and I along with our excellent staff, continue to provide Carers for the elderly and children as well as domestic staff for families all over the Country, using her well tested traditional methods and very personal approach.
As providers of Domiciliary Care for vulnerable adults, we take our role very seriously. Care for the elderly is becoming more challenging than ever before. As people live longer we need to increase the awareness and understanding of the needs of the more vulnerable people in our society. After all, one day we may need somebody to care for us. We feel passionately about the role the Agency can play in making that little bit of a difference to other people’s lives, and that we should do everything we can to help improve and promote the quality of care available.
My mother is now actively campaigning with the support of the Alzheimer’s Society for improvements in elderly care in particular with respect to the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and their decisions against the provision of invaluable and low cost drugs for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.
We look forward to being able to help you.
